Responsabilités

  • Lead and scale a global engineering organization, with a primary development presence in France.
  • Own the end-to-end engineering strategy, architecture, and delivery for SymphonyAI’s Retail Supply Chain platform.
  • Drive modernization of legacy technologies with API-first and event-driven architectures.
  • Embed AI capabilities across the platform and partner with Product, Data Science, and Architecture teams.
  • Collaborate with Product Management, Customer Success, Professional Services, and Executive Leadership to translate technical investments into business value.

Job Description

SymphonyAI is a global leader in enterprise AI, delivering industry‑specific SaaS solutions that help retailers, manufacturers, distributors, and consumer goods companies optimize their supply chains through intelligent planning, execution, and automation.

Senior Vice President of Engineering to lead the engineering organization for our Retail Supply Chain platform. This executive will drive the evolution of a mission‑critical enterprise platform serving global customers while balancing operational excellence with long‑term modernization. The ideal leader is equally comfortable scaling engineering organizations, modernizing complex legacy platforms, and partnering with product and customers to deliver business outcomes.

What You’ll Own
Engineering Leadership
  • Lead and scale a high‑performing global engineering organization, with a primary development presence in France.
  • Build a culture of accountability, technical excellence, innovation, and customer focus.
  • Develop engineering leaders and establish predictable execution across multiple product teams.
  • Drive engineering metrics around quality, reliability, security, scalability, and delivery.
Platform Strategy & Execution
  • Own the end‑to‑end engineering strategy, architecture, and delivery for SymphonyAI’s Retail Supply Chain platform.
  • Ensure the stability, performance, and availability of mission‑critical enterprise applications used by global retailers.
  • Balance customer commitments, technical debt reduction, modernization initiatives, and new product innovation.
Platform Modernization

Lead the transformation of a mature enterprise platform by driving:

  • API‑first architecture
  • Event‑driven systems and streaming technologies (Kafka preferred)
  • Cloud‑native services across Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and Microsoft Azure
  • Modern engineering practices, automation, observability, and DevOps

Execute modernization through incremental evolution while maintaining uninterrupted service for enterprise customers.

AI & Intelligent Platform Innovation
  • Embed AI capabilities across the platform, including intelligent workflows, automation, predictive insights, and data enrichment.
  • Partner with Product, Data Science, and Architecture teams to define the next generation of AI‑powered supply chain capabilities.
  • Champion the adoption of emerging technologies that improve customer outcomes and engineering productivity.
Cross‑Functional Leadership
  • Partner closely with Product Management, Customer Success, Professional Services, and Executive Leadership.
  • Translate technical investments into measurable customer and business value.
  • Participate in executive customer engagements, providing strategic technical leadership for large enterprise accounts.

Required Qualifications
Leadership Experience
  • 15+ years of software engineering experience, including 7+ years leading large engineering organizations.

Technical Expertise

Strong experience with enterprise software platforms, including:

  • Oracle Database
  • PL/SQL
  • Pro*C or C/C++‑based enterprise environments
  • Java application development (Java 8+)
  • REST APIs and microservices
  • Event‑driven architectures (Kafka preferred)
  • Cloud platforms such as Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), Microsoft Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud
  • Modern DevOps, CI/CD, observability, and engineering best practices
Business & Strategic Leadership
  • Demonstrated success modernizing complex enterprise software platforms.
  • Strong executive communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to align engineering strategy with business objectives and customer outcomes.
  • Experience operating in fast‑paced, evolving enterprise SaaS environments.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience building enterprise software for Retail, Supply Chain, Merchandising, Planning, Inventory, Logistics, or Consumer Goods.
  • Experience with AI, machine learning, or intelligent automation within enterprise applications.
  • Understanding of large‑scale transactional systems and real‑time data platforms.
  • Experience supporting Fortune 500 enterprise customers.
