Tech Soft 3D seeks an visionary Vice President of Engineering to lead our global engineering org, drive strategy, and balance innovation with reliable product delivery.

Tech Soft 3D is the leading provider of engineering software development toolkits and industrial applications for CAD/CAE data conversion, visualization and data publishing.At Tech Soft 3D, we’re on a mission to Fuel Innovation. Empowering developers with intuitive, frictionless SDKs that let them build powerful engineering software, without reinventing the wheel.

We are looking for our next Vice President of Engineering to lead our global Engineering organization. This is a hands‑on executive leadership role for someone who can move comfortably between company strategy, engineering leadership, and complex technical problems. You’ll lead and develop our Engineering organization while staying close enough to the technology to help set direction, challenge assumptions, and guide the evolution of our products.

As a member of our Executive Team, you’ll have a voice in decisions that extend well beyond Engineering. You’ll partner closely with our CEO, Product Management, and leaders across the business to shape our technology strategy, strengthen how we build and deliver software, and ensure Engineering is positioned to support Tech Soft 3D’s continued growth. You’ll also represent Engineering at Board of Directors meetings alongside our CEO.

This position is based inEurope, with flexibility for in-office or remote work and a strong preference for candidates in France or UK.

What You’ll Do:

• Lead our global Engineering organization, including geographically distributed teams and engineering leaders across the US and Europe
• Serve as a member of the Executive Team, helping shape company strategy and representing Engineering in executive and Board-level discussions
• Partner closely with Product Management and company leadership to define our technology vision and roadmap, balancing innovation with the continued growth and evolution of our existing products
• Lead the Engineering Leadership Team in setting clear priorities and annual goals aligned with broader company objectives
• Stay close to our core 3D technology and play an active role in technical direction, architecture, and our most challenging engineering problems
• Set high standards for engineering quality, reliability, execution, and delivery across our global teams
• Champion the thoughtful adoption of AI-assisted development tools and workflows to improve engineering velocity, quality, and developer experience
• Explore opportunities to bring AI/ML capabilities into our products, partnering with Product Management to turn promising ideas into meaningful customer value
• Build a strong, collaborative Engineering leadership team and create an environment where leaders and engineers can do their best work
• Develop and grow our engineering talent through coaching, feedback, career development, succession planning, and thoughtful hiring
• Own Engineering budgets and staffing, balancing investment, business priorities, and long‑term organizational needs
• Lead the Engineering side of M&A diligence and integration when opportunities arise, including evaluating technology and engineering teams
• Keep an eye on emerging technologies and industry shifts and help us determine which ones matter—and which ones don’t

What We’re Looking For:

• 15+ years of professional software experience, including significant experience building production software and leading engineering teams
• Deep technical expertise in 3D technology and a track record of hands‑on contribution to complex, high‑performance software systems
• A leader who can operate at the executive level without losing technical credibility or becoming disconnected from the work
• Significant people leadership experience, including leading managers and globally distributed engineering teams
• Experience defining technical strategy and translating it into roadmaps, priorities, and execution
• Experience bringing AI/ML into engineering practices and/or software products, whether through AI‑assistant development tooling, applied ML, or AI‑enabled product capabilities
• Strong knowledge of modern software engineering, automated testing, and quality practices
• Experience architecting complex systems and/or web‑based enterprise platforms
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to make complex technical topics understandable to technical and non‑technical audiences
• Experience presenting engineering strategy, roadmaps, and priorities to executive and Board‑level audiences
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with sound business and financial judgment
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Mathematics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
• Willingness and ability to travel internationally

Bonus Points If You Have:

• Hands‑on experience with modern AI/ML frameworks, LLM‑based tooling, or MLOps practices
• Experience in CAD, CAE, PLM, or related engineering software markets
• Experience working across multiple countries and cultures
• Additional language skills

The salary for this role is based on a combination of factors, including experience, education, and any special skills or expertise you bring. For individuals located in France, the base pay range is €160k – €170k/year. In UK, base pay is £155k - £165k.
