Westinghouse Electric Company in France seeks a Supplier Quality Oversight Engineer located in Orsay. This full-time role is hybrid, reporting to the SQO Manager, and centers on surveilling supplier manufacturing operations to ensure contractual conformance.

You will oversee welding, NDE, and testing activities, issue reports, raise deviations, review End of Manufacturing Reports, and provide QR releases prior to shipment, with travel up to 75%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or master's degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering.
• 5+ years of experience as manufacturing inspector/surveillance engineer in the nuclear industry.
• Certification in NDE or welding (such as NF EN ISO 9712, CWI or similar).
• Knowledge of NDE, especially UT and RT, and welding activities.
• Knowledge of nuclear construction code/regulation (RCC-M, ASME, ESPN...).
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes for critical nuclear equipment.
• Willing to travel often (between 50 to 75% of your time)

Responsabilités

• Witness manufacturing activities (welding, NDE, dimensional control, destructive testing) per surveillance plan.
• Raise deviations to contractual requirements using the prescribed template.
• Issue a report after each surveillance activity.
• Review End of Manufacturing Reports.
• Issue quality release (QR) prior to shipment of equipment.
• Perform unscheduled oversight based on lessons learned and weaknesses of the supplier.
• Support supply chain and project teams with information on main events at the supplier facility.
• Back-up the SQO team when workloads are high or colleagues are on vacation

About The Role

As a Supplier Quality Oversight Engineer you will perform the surveillance of the manufacturing operations performed by the supplier to assess the conformity of these operations according to the contractual requirements. This is a full-time job.

You will report to the Supplier Quality Oversight Manager and be located at Orsay. This is a hybrid position.

Main Responsibilities

• Witness the manufacturing activities such as welding, non-destructive examination, dimensional control, Destructive testing... based on the surveillance plan managed by the supply chain.
• Raise the deviation to contractual requirements in the dedicated template.
• Issue a report after each activity of surveillance performed.
• Review End of Manufacturing Reports.
• Issue quality release (QR) prior shipment of equipment.
• Perform unscheduled oversight based on lessons learned and weakness of supplier.
• Support supply chain and project team request and provide information on main event occurring at the supplier facility.
• Support the SQO team as a back-up when there are too many activities in parallel or when someone is in vacation

• 5+ years of experience as manufacturing inspector/surveillance engineer in the nuclear industry.
• Certification in NDE or welding (such as NF EN ISO 9712, CWI or similar).
• Knowledge of NDE, especially UT and RT, and welding activities.
• Knowledge of nuclear construction code/regulation (RCC-M, ASME, ESPN...)
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes for critical nuclear equipment.
• Willing to travel often (between 50 to 75% of your time)
