About the Role

As a Supplier Quality Improvement Engineer (SQIE), you will ensure the highest quality standards across the direct material supplier network. Your role involves working closely with suppliers and internal teams to achieve defect-free performance, lead problem-solving initiatives, and drive continuous process improvements. This position combines technical expertise, strategic supplier management, and hands-on quality improvement to ensure flawless product performance from concept to launch.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead supplier evaluation, selection, and strategic sourcing & development.
  • Manage and resolve challenging supplier corrective actions, including fault tree analysis, root cause identification, and implementing permanent corrective measures.
  • Ensure suppliers effectively use quality tools, emphasizing Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP).
  • Collaborate with suppliers to meet all product requirements, standards, and guidelines.
  • Oversee quality activities for new and existing products to minimize issues, enhance processes, and meet timelines.
  • Lead PPAP and APQP processes for new or changed products, including Early Supplier Engagement and Zero Defects Mentality.
  • Monitor and improve supplier quality performance to meet or exceed targets.
  • Champion continuous improvement efforts to reduce defects and increase operational efficiency.
  • Represent supplier technical processes in internal engineering discussions, such as drawing quality and manufacturability reviews.
Qualifications & Skills
  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Engineering or related technical/scientific field.
  • Experience in supplier quality engineering, manufacturing technology, or related fields.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, including root cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • Excellent English communication skills; French is a plus.
  • Familiarity with APQP, PPAP, and other quality tools.
  • Ability to work effectively with global teams and suppliers.
  • This position may require licensing for export compliance.
