Harmattan AI in Paris is seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer to drive supplier quality across aerospace and defense programs, focusing on audits, approvals and PPAP processes.

You will collaborate with R&D, Engineering and Supply Chain, document quality topics in Jira/Confluence, travel as needed, and push continuous improvements.

Open for international supplier travel and fluent English communication.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree in quality, industrial, aeronautical, or mechanical engineering.
• 3 to 5 years of experience in supplier/procurement quality, preferably in aerospace/defense/automotive.
• Strong experience in supplier audits, PPAP/FAI, and 8D corrective actions.

Responsabilités

• Conduct supplier qualification and approval for new sources and special processes.
• Perform supplier/process audits (AS9100, APQP) and PPAP/FAI reviews.
• Lead 8D corrective actions, scorecards, and supplier development programs.
• Collaborate with R&D, Engineering and Supply Chain; document quality topics in Jira/Confluence.
• Support continuous improvement to reduce design risks and improve first-time-right realization.

About The Role

We are looking for a Supplier Quality Engineer to ensure that our suppliers are delivering at the right level of quality, in particular through audits and supplier development.

Responsibilities

• Conduct supplier qualification and approval (new sources, special processes).
• Conduct supplier / process audits (AS9100, special-process, APQP).
• Ensure FAI (AS9102) and PPAP review; receiving-inspection strategy and defect containment.
• Implement supplier 8D / corrective actions, scorecards, and be the owner of the supplier development; NDAA / AQAP flow-down.

• Collaboration and Communication
  • Work with cross-functional teams, including R&D, Engineering, and Supply Chain, using platforms such as Jira or Confluence to document and track quality topics related to design projects.
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, including customers and regulatory bodies, on project quality status and resolutions.
• Continuous Improvement
  • Participate in initiatives to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the design and development processes, focusing on reducing design-related risks and ensuring first-time-right product realization.
  • Collect and analyze quality data from the design phase to support performance monitoring and reporting for project milestones.

Candidate Requirements

• Engineering degree in quality, industrial, aeronautical, or mechanical engineering.
• 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in supplier / procurement quality, preferably in the aerospace, defense, or automotive sectors.
• Strong experience in Supplier audit & qualification, PPAP / FAI run, Supplier corrective action (8D)
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams and departments in an international environment.
• Open for supplier travel
