Jifmar Group in France seeks a Superintendent to report to the Fleet Technical Director. You will ensure the technical and operational availability of the vessels under your responsibility and coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance with the crews in compliance with regulations.

You will also plan on-site technical stoppages and supervise CMMS reporting and budgeting. The ideal candidate has over 5 years in the maritime sector, fluent English, and either Merchant Navy leadership

Qualifications

• Over 5 years of experience in the maritime sector.
• Fluent English is essential for onshore collaboration.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities are required.
• Familiarity with national and international maritime regulations.
• Ability to make proposals, be rigorous and work in a team.

Responsabilités

• Ensure the technical and operational availability of the vessels for which you are responsible.
• Ensure preventive and corrective maintenance is carried out with crews in line with regulations.
• Prepare, plan and monitor on-site technical stoppages for your vessels.
• Ensure reporting is effective in the CMMS system.
• Manage and monitor the budget for each vessel.
• Audit the vessels according to deadlines and requirements.
• Enforce safety rules when traveling to bases or vessels and provide training as required.
• Act as the point of contact between Jifmar, Maritime Affairs, and the Classification Society.
• Take charge of and/or participate in vessel newbuilding, refitting or integration projects.

Missions

We are looking for a Superintendent. Reporting to the Fleet Technical Director, your main missions will be as follows:

• Ensuring the technical and operational availability of the vessels for which he/she is responsible
• Making sure that preventive and corrective maintenance is carried out on each vessel in collaboration with the crews in accordance with regulations in force.
• Preparing, planning and monitoring on-site technical stoppages for his/her vessels
• Ensuring that reporting is effective in the CMMS
• Managing and monitoring the budget for each vessel
• Auditing the vessels for which he/she is responsible in accordance with the Company's deadlines and requirements
• Ensuring that safety rules are applied and enforced when travelling to bases or vessels, and providing specific training as required
• Acting as the point of contact between Jifmar and Maritime Affairs and the Classification Society
• Taking charge of and/or participating in vessel newbuilding, refitting or integrating new units into the fleet.

Profile

Education: Merchant Navy sailor (Chief Engineer or Captain) wishing to work onshore

Or a graduate engineer in the maritime field

Experience: Over 5 years' experience in the maritime sector is essential.

Languages spoken : Fluent English essential.

Skills: Technical and regulatory knowledge of the maritime environment is required.

You must be familiar with national and international regulations.

Qualities: You have good communication skills, enabling you to interact with different types of functional and operational contacts. You will be able to make proposals, be rigorous and have a sense of teamwork.
