Job summary

CMA CGM invites highly motivated students to join CMA Ships Purchasing for a work-study internship in Marseille. You will participate in sourcing, contracting, and supplier management activities within a fast-paced, global shipping environment.

The role emphasizes sustainability, SRM development, and hands-on tendering experience. You are pursuing a Master’s in Purchasing, are fluent in English, and proficient in Excel.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Master’s degree (Bac+4/5) in Purchasing, Procurement or related field.
• Fluent in English and comfortable communicating in a professional environment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office tools, particularly Excel.
• Good theoretical understanding of purchasing and procurement principles.

Responsibilities

• Manage a specific purchasing category within CMA Ships Procurement.
• Lead calls for tenders from preparation to supplier selection.
• Assist in drafting and implementing contracts and follow up on purchase orders and payments.
• Audit supplier pre-qualification processes and review purchasing procedures.
• Support development of SRM tool focusing on sustainable procurement and compliance.
