Job summary

Pennylane recherche un(e) responsable initiatives stratégiques pour piloter des projets transverses avec le VP Strategic Initiatives, offrant une exposition directe à l'équipe exécutive et une autonomie dès le départ.

Vous travaillerez avec les équipes produit, commerciale et finance pour structurer, analyser et livrer des résultats mesurables. Ce rôle nécessite une pensée critique, de l'ambition et une excellente communication en français et anglais.

Qualifications

• 5–10 années d'expérience en conseil en management et/ou en scale-up soutenu par VC.
• Capacités analytiques exceptionnelles et maîtrise des modèles et données.
• Pensée structurée et communication claire capable de rendre des compromis lisibles pour un dirigeant.
• À l'aise avec l'ambiguïté, sens du jugement et appétence pour l'action.
• Maîtrise du français et de l'anglais.

Responsibilities

• Encadrer et mener des initiatives stratégiques de A à Z en collaboration avec les équipes.
• Coordonner les équipes produit, commercial et finance pour livrer les résultats.
• Construire les analyses et modèles pour soutenir les décisions.
• Rapporter les progrès et les risques à l'ExCo avec des recommandations claires.

Why this role exists

Pennylane is one of Europe's fastest-growing fintechs, building the financial operating system for SMBs and their accountants. Growth at our pace creates a constant stream of high-stakes, cross-functional initiatives that don't sit neatly inside any one team such as entering new markets, redesigning pricing, launching e-invoicing ahead of regulation.

This role owns those initiatives. You'll work directly with the VP Strategic Initiatives (and, through him, the executive committee) to take our most important initiatives from a blank page to a shipped outcome. It's a rare seat: broad exposure to how a scale-up actually makes its biggest decisions, real ownership from day one, and the kind of scope that builds a strong foundation for an operating role over time.

What you'll own

You’ll lead selected priority initiatives end-to-end. For each, that means:

• Framing the problem. Turn an ambiguous executive ambition into a structured plan: the hypothesis, the analysis that tests it, the milestones, and the definition of success.
• Driving the work. Coordinate the product, commercial, finance, and ops teams needed to deliver. You're the person who makes sure it actually ships, on time and to the bar.
• Doing the analysis yourself. Build the models, pull the data, and pressure-test the numbers that decisions rest on. You won't delegate the thinking.
• Keeping the ExCo close. Report progress, risks, and recommendations crisply and often. When something is off track, they hear it from you first, with a proposed path forward.

Some initiatives you'll run start to finish. On others you'll be the extra set of hands on whatever matters most that quarter. Both require someone who's comfortable being handed a hard, undefined problem and trusted to figure it out.

Who we're looking for

• 5–10 years in top-tier management consulting and/or a VC-backed scale-up, with a track record of owning complex projects to completion in a fast-moving environment.
• Exceptional analytical capabilities — you're fluent with data and models, and you use them to sharpen decisions, not decorate them.
• Structured thinker and clear communicator who can make a complex trade-off legible to an executive audience in a page or a slide.
• Genuinely comfortable with ambiguity: strong judgment, a bias to action, and the maturity to prioritize hard.
• Fluent in French and English.

• We're working on providing those last advantages to our people based outside of France as well, but it can be quite more complex depending on different countries.
