United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) invites applications for a senior role located in Paris as part of the International Methane Emissions Observatory (IMEO). The role leads strategic coordination across IMEO, supports donor engagement, and manages governance and high-level government engagement.

The position requires a Master’s degree in political science or environmental policy, at least five years’ programme coordination experience, and fluency in English and French.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in a relevant field is required; a first-level degree plus additional experience may be accepted
• Minimum five years of progressively responsible experience in programme/partnership coordination with governments and stakeholders
• Experience with methane emissions management and oil/gas sector relevance is required
• English and French are required working languages for this role
• Experience coordinating with international partnerships and high-level government officials is desirable

Responsabilités

• Lead strategic coordination of IMEO, coordinating across practices and workstreams
• Drive development and tracking of IMEO's annual workplan with KPIs
• Support strategic planning, roadmaps, and senior leadership decision-support materials
• Coordinate governance processes, governance minutes, and follow-up actions
• Manage donor engagement, reporting, and resource mobilization efforts
• Prepare materials for IMEO governance boards and high-level meetings
• Represent IMEO in international fora and major events
• Coordinate high-level government engagement and international representation
