Job summary

Dollar General Corporation is seeking a Cashier/Stocker to support daily store operations, assist in plan-o-gram implementation, and provide superior customer service. In the absence of store leadership, you may lead the team, authorize refunds, and ensure cash control procedures are followed.

You will unload shipments, stock merchandise, restock returns, greet customers, and maintain a clean, organized store environment while protecting company assets.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform basic math calculations (addition/subtraction/percentages).
• Understanding cash handling procedures and cashier accountability.
• Familiarity with IBM cash register functions and POS operations.
• Knowledge of safety and loss prevention policies and practices.

Responsibilities

• Unload trucks per store process.
• Receive, open and unpack cartons and totes.
• Stock, rotate and face merchandise on shelves; build displays.
• Restock returned merchandise and manage stock levels.
• Assist in plan-o-gram implementation and maintenance.
• Assist customers in locating merchandise.
• Operate cash register and bag merchandise; provide change.
