Penta Consulting in France is seeking an experienced Storage Engineer to manage post-deployment administration of VMAX/PowerMax systems. You will handle PowerMax arrays, storage groups, provisioning, and performance monitoring using Unisphere for PowerMax and SYMCLI.

The role requires hands-on expertise in SRDF replication, TimeFinder SnapVX, and SAN health analysis, with VMware VSI experience considered a plus. You will collaborate with infrastructure teams to ensure high availability.

Qualifications

• Extensive hands-on experience with Dell EMC VMAX/PowerMax hardware and software.
• Proven ability to administer and monitor PowerMax arrays and optimize performance.
• Strong replication knowledge (SRDF) and disaster recovery operations.
• Experience with SAN environments, including troubleshooting and health reports.
• VMware VSI experience is a plus.

We are supporting a well esteemed client of ours searching for a Storage Engineer in France to handle post-deployment administration of VMAX / PowerMax systems.

Job Summary:

• We are seeking an experienced professional to handle post-deployment administration of VMAX / PowerMax systems.
• The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and maintaining PowerMax arrays, leveraging Unisphere for PowerMax and SYMCLI. This includes performing various administrative tasks, monitoring virtual environments, and ensuring optimal system performance.

Key requirements:

• Strong hands-on expertise with Dell EMC VMAX and PowerMax enterprise storage environments, including hardware, architecture and PowerMaxOS.
• Administer and manage PowerMax arrays, including storage groups, thin-device provisioning, port configuration, capacity expansion and performance monitoring.
• Expertise with Unisphere for PowerMax, Solutions Enabler and SYMCLI for day-to-day administration, configuration and troubleshooting.
• Strong replication and business continuity experience, particularly SRDF synchronous/asynchronous replication and disaster recovery operations.
• Hands-on knowledge of TimeFinder SnapVX, including snapshots, clones and local replication operations.
• Experience supporting SAN environments, including interpreting SAN Health reports, connectivity, networking and troubleshooting.
• Experience installing, configuring and upgrading PowerMaxOS, Unisphere and Solutions Enabler, with an understanding of supported features across releases.
• Understanding of NAS/file services, file-system snapshots/cloning and NAS Server Replication, alongside traditional block-storage administration.
• Experience working with VMware environments and Dell Virtual Storage Integrator (VSI) is desirable.
• Strong production support and troubleshooting capability, with the ability to manage multiple storage systems and communicate effectively with infrastructure teams.
