Quinn Group, Inc. in Bakersfield is seeking an experienced Field Power Generator Technician to service standby power systems and perform repairs on diesel and gas engines.

You will read wiring diagrams, troubleshoot CAT equipment, and work with transfer switches while providing safe, professional service. The role offers paid training, comprehensive benefits, 401(k), and opportunities for advancement within a stable, reputable company.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years in backup generator industry or related field.
• Experience with diesel engines, generators, or heavy equipment.
• Knowledge of Tier 4 and aftertreatment systems is a plus.
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Valid driver's license with a good driving record.

Responsabilités

• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on standby generators from 5 kW to 3,200 kW.
• Diagnose and repair diesel and gas industrial engines.
• Troubleshoot CAT engines and power systems.
• Load bank testing using established procedures.
• Read wiring diagrams and electrical schematics and work with ATS/control logic.
• Complete major component repairs and respond to emergency service needs.
