A financial supervisory authority in the EU is seeking a final year student for a traineeship in banking supervision. The role involves enhancing analytics through projects, developing supervisory tools, and collaborating with the European Central Bank. The ideal candidate should be pursuing a degree in data science or related fields, with strong analytical and communication skills. Proficiency in several programming languages is an advantage.
The prudential supervision of the banking sector operated by the CSSF aims at contributing to the robustness and stability of the financial sector and requires the implementation of innovative supervisory technics and tools. Especially, it implies the developments of data-driven methodologies to ensure assessments of the banking sector based on huge amount of information (for example coming from supervisory reporting like COREP).
In this context, the “Methodology and Reporting” division in the “Banking Regulation and Implementation” department has three main missions :
As part of the “Methodology and Reporting” division, you will discover the role and the importance of prudential supervision.
The traineeship period is scheduled to start in March 2025 for a period of ideally 4 to 6 months. A traineeship agreement is required for the entire duration of the internship.
You will be supported by a dedicated professional tutor, who will guide and advise you throughout your placement.
