Job summary

BNP Paribas Asset Management is seeking a GP Stakes Investment Intern to support the global GP stakes program. You will assist the investment team in sourcing, due diligence, and valuation, gaining exposure to private markets.

Based in the Paris area, the role offers hands-on learning in asset management, with responsibilities spanning sector research, data gathering, and preparing newsletters for GP Stakes activity.

Qualifications

• Undertaking a master's or advanced degree in Finance / Economics.
• Previous experience in M&A, Private Equity or Management Consulting is preferred.
• Interested in the asset management industry and alternative asset classes.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to manage databases used to drive decision-making.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with a collaborative approach.
• Fluent English speaker.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word.

Responsibilities

• Assist the investment team in various aspects of the investment process (sourcing, valuation, due diligence)
• Conduct sector and asset class specific research by reading industry reports
• Analyse public company filings and gather data sets for proprietary analytics on trading performance.
• Conduct ad hoc analyses including responding to LP inquiries, marketing presentations, industry benchmarking, analysing industry trends and more
• Prepare the quarterly newsletter related to GP Stakes activity
• Tracking interactions with, and projects related to, portfolio GPs

This is an opportunity to join the GP stakes at BNPP AM Alts Prime, focusing on acquiring minority stakes in assets managers globally.

Interns get a privileged seat to assess some of the most interesting private markets players in the asset management industry on a range of topics including their economics, their fund performances and their long-term strategic positioning.

The team is lean and highly entrepreneurial; hence the role offers significant responsibility and learning from day one.
