Matera recherche un Senior Backend Engineer pour piloter l’architecture et faire évoluer le système backend. Vous définirez les standards, améliorerez les performances et conduirez des projets techniques avec les squads.

Vous apporterez une expertise Ruby on Rails et une expérience full‑stack, avec une approche DevOps (Kubernetes, Terraform) et une sensibilité IA pour optimiser la productivité. Cadre forfait jour, 2 jours au bureau.

Qualifications

• 8+ années d’expérience en développement logiciel avec une solide expertise back‑end et Ruby on Rails.

Responsabilités

• Définir et faire évoluer l’architecture backend à long terme (modularisation, design system, performance, clean architecture, DDD).
• Identifier les limites techniques actuelles, proposer des solutions et les mettre en œuvre avec l’équipe.
• Initier et mener des projets techniques ou produit à fort impact.
• Établir et promouvoir les standards back‑end à travers toutes les squads.
• Améliorer l’expérience développeur: IA, tooling, CI, test et documentation.
• Encadrer les développeurs à tous niveaux et faire monter le niveau collectif.
• Contribuer à la vision technique aux côtés du CTO et des Staff.

Technical Stack

• Frontend: React, TypeScript, React Native (mobile), Jest, Playwright, Maestro
• Backend: Ruby on Rails, Sidekiq, RSpec, Cucumber
• Data: PostgreSQL, Opensearch, Redis
• Infrastructure: Kubernetes, Terraform

Responsibilities

• Define and evolve Matera's backend architecture over the long term (modularisation, design system, performance, clean architecture, DDD).
• Identify current technical limits, propose solutions, and implement them with the team.
• Initiate and lead high‑impact tech or product projects.
• Establish and promote backend coding standards across all squads.
• Improve the Developer Experience: AI adoption, tooling, CI, testing strategy, documentation.
• Mentor developers of all levels and raise the collective skill level.
• Contribute to the overall technical vision alongside the CTO and other Staff.

Qualifications

• 8+ years as a Software Engineer with a strong backend focus and expertise in Ruby on Rails.
• Comfortable with DevOps and orchestration technologies (Kubernetes, Terraform).
• Full‑stack experience to manage projects end‑to‑end.
• Technical leadership capable of defining vision and rallying the team.
• Deep understanding of application performance, database, and infrastructure issues.
• Active use of AI in work methods, continuously experimenting to improve efficiency.
• Strong product appetite and obsession for delivering the best user experience.
