AeroVect is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to own core localization components and drive them to production readiness across airport operations. You will lead multi-sensor fusion, state estimation, and calibration efforts, influencing architecture across perception, planning, and platform interfaces.

You will mentor engineers, design robust validation, and deploy scalable tooling for diagnostics and post-mission analysis in a high-stakes, autonomous flight-support context.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in robotics or autonomous vehicles with production localization ownership.
• Deep grounding in multi-sensor fusion across LiDAR, IMU, GNSS, and cameras.
• Demonstrated technical leadership coordinating architecture across teams.
• Strong command of non-linear optimization (Ceres, GTSAM, g2o) or filtering (EKF, UKF).
• Proficiency in C++17+, Linux and ROS/ROS2.
• BS or MS in CS/Robotics/EE; MS/PhD preferred; hands-on calibration experience.

Responsabilités

• Own core areas of the localization stack and drive production reliability on real hardware at airports.
• Contribute across the broader localization and mapping pipeline from sensor integration to deployment.
• Design online validation to monitor localization integrity and cross-sensor consistency during live missions.
• Develop tooling for diagnostics, health logging, and post-mission analysis across the stack.
• Contribute to regression, validation, and release gating for localization changes at airports.
• Deploy, test, and iterate using data from real autonomous operations.
