BeReal is seeking a Staff iOS Engineer to help shape the evolution of our iOS platform, used daily by millions of users worldwide. You will lead technical direction, deliver high-quality features, and stay hands-on in development.

You will mentor iOS engineers, drive cross-functional initiatives with product, design, data, backend and Android teams, and promote best practices across the iOS team. The role emphasizes data-informed decisions and scalable architecture.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional iOS development experience, owning large-scale apps.
• Experience as Staff iOS Engineer or equivalent with impact beyond feature delivery.
• Strong product sensibility with platform-level technical expertise.
• Proven track record improving iOS apps globally (architecture, tooling, processes).
• Ability to drive solutions to complex problems across teams.
• Mentoring engineers and promoting best practices.
• Excellent knowledge of Swift/SwiftUI and production systems.
• Solid understanding of iOS architecture and system design.

Responsabilités

• Drive the technical direction of the iOS platform for long-term scalability and reliability.
• Design and deliver high-impact iOS features and systems balancing short-term needs with platform health.
• Lead cross-functional initiatives with product, design, data, backend, and Android teams.
• Promote engineering best practices across the iOS team including testing and processes.
• Mentor iOS engineers and contribute to technical leadership and knowledge sharing.
• Use data and user feedback to inform decisions on features and approaches.

• Collaborate with AI-powered tools to boost productivity and creativity.
