Veepee is seeking an SRE to join its transversal SRE community within VeepeeTech. This role ensures system reliability and scalability through DevOps practices while working with agile product teams.

Key responsibilities include implementing deployment tools, automating infrastructure provisioning, and maintaining operational services. Candidates should have at least 3 years of experience in similar roles and a solid understanding of Linux systems.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Being an SRE in VeepeeTech means to be a part of the transversal SRE community and at the same time integrate one of the agile product teams. You will ensure the system’s reliability and scalability by applying DevOps practices and share knowledge within the SRE community.

The Distribution Channels SRE team is in charge of maintaining the infrastructure of the front services of Veepee websites and mobile applications.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Implementing tools and processes for deployment and industrialization (CI/CD, blue/green, canary, rollback, etc.)
• Automating provisioning of a resilient infrastructure that meets the needs of products
• Working with development teams to facilitate regular releases
• Maintaining services in operational conditions, analyze and resolve performance and scalability anomalies (load tests) of current and historical deployments
• Participating in the evolution of the IS (VMware migration to KVM and service offer) and the reduction of the technical debt
• Being the evangelist of DevOps’ good practices and participate in the construction of a true transversal SRE community within Veepee

QUALIFICATIONS

• At least 3 years of experience in a similar function
• Experience in managing or contributing to production environments with high uptime (99.9%+) and critical, public facing, services
• Solid understanding of Linux systems and networking fundamentals, knowledge of Windows would be a plus
• Proficiency with IaC: Terraform, Ansible
• Understanding of load balancing and reverse proxy concepts, such as Haproxy, Traefik
• Monitoring and observability: Prometheus, ELK, Grafana
• Experience with container orchestration: Nomad, Kubernetes
• Proficiency with different types of DB such as PostgreSQL, Cassandra, MongoDB
• Strong verbal and written English language skills

NICE TO HAVE

• Knowledge of languages such as .Net, Python or Go would be a plus
• Knowledge of CDN such as Cloudflare
