Job summary

Veepee is seeking an experienced Site Reliability Engineer to join our Tech organization. You will be part of a transversal SRE community within the Foundation Domain, ensuring reliability and scalability of on-prem infrastructure while collaborating with agile product teams.

You will implement CI/CD, automate provisioning, and work with development teams to enable regular releases. Strong Linux, Kubernetes, and IaC skills are required, plus proficiency in English.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in SRE/DevOps in production environments.
• Experience with high-availability systems and on-call duties.
• Knowledge of industrialization processes, agile methods, GitFlow, and DevOps practices.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and develop our Kubernetes Cloud Solution.
• Automate provisioning and CI/CD pipelines (blue/green, canary, rollback).
• Collaborate with development teams for regular releases.
• Monitor and troubleshoot performance and scalability issues.
• Coordinate with NOC for access and security.
• Contribute to IS evolution and reduction of technical debt.
• Advocate DevOps best practices and build a transversal SRE community.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Being an SRE in Veepee Tech means to be a part of the transversal SRE community and at the same time integrate one of the agile product teams. You will ensure the system’s reliability and scalability by applying DevOps practices and share knowledge within the SRE community, you will be part of the Foundation Domain which is responsible for on premise infrastructure

TASKS

• Maintain and develop our k8s Cloud Solution

• Implementing tools and processes for deployment and industrialization (CI/CD, blue/green, canary, rollback, etc.);

• Automating provisioning of a resilient infrastructure that meets the needs of products;

• Working with development teams to facilitate regular releases;

• Maintaining services in operational conditions, analyze and resolve performance and scalability anomalies (load tests) of current and historical deployments;

• Supervising the application portfolio in collaboration with the Network Operations Center (NOC), manage access and security;

• Participating in the evolution of the IS and the reduction of the technical debt;

• Being the evangelist of DevOps’ good practices and participating in the construction of a true transversal SRE community within Veepee.

MUST HAVE skills

• At least 3 years of experience in a similar function;

• Experience with high-availability production environments & on-call

• Knowledge of industrialization processes, agile methods, gitflow and DevOps practices in general and understanding of a system side;

• Familiar with Linux (good knowledge);

• Proficiency with IaC: Packer, Terraform, Ansible;

• SUP: Alerta, ELK, Prometheus, K8S Operators;

• Hands on with Docker, Kubernetes On Premise ( Kubernetes the hard way)

• Proficiency with different types of DB such as, PostgreSQL, MariaDB, ElasticSearch;

• You have strong verbal and written English language skills.

• CI/CD : Gitlab, ArgoCD

• Others : Consul, Vault

NICE TO HAVE skills

• Knowledge of languages such as Shell, Python or Go would be a plus
