A leading engineering firm is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer to conceptualize and design land/site developments. This position requires a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering and over 8 years of relevant engineering experience. Ideal candidates will have strong knowledge in industrial development design and proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D. The role offers the flexibility of being based in various locations, with responsibilities spanning project planning to compliance with regulatory requirements.

Senior Civil Engineer – Advanced Manufacturing

Location: Any location in the United States (preferably near a Jacobs U.S. office)

Responsibilities

• Conceptualize initial civil design for land/site development, prepare grading plans, and perform earthwork and drainage/stormwater calculations.
• Plan and analyze site development, site master planning, and site selection.
• Route underground utilities and plan site space accordingly.
• Perform hydrology analysis for designing storm drain systems.
• Design gravitational wastewater systems.
• Conduct final grading plans including cut and fill analysis and earthwork balancing.
• Create erosion and sediment control plans, stormwater pollution prevention plans, and support permit approvals.
• Research and adhere to local Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) requirements for design and construction.
• Model and analyze stormwater using software such as StormCAD and CivilStorm.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• 8+ years of engineering experience, including extensive related project experience.
