Zusammenfassung

SpaceLocker is seeking a Mechanical and Thermal Engineer to design and develop space hardware parts through concepts to prototyping, while contributing to simulations and tests for reliable flight hardware.

You will work with SpaceLocker's engineering and AIT teams on payload hosting hardware, create and maintain 3D models, drawings and BOMs, and balance function, mass, manufacturability, assembly and cost. Fluency in English is required.

Qualifikationen

• Engineering degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering or related field.
• Experience designing structural elements for satellites with 3D CAD and technical drawings.
• Familiarity with mechanical or thermal simulation and testing; spacecraft AIT experience is a plus.
• Fluent in English.

Aufgaben

• Design mechanical parts and assemblies for payload hosting hardware, from concept to manufacturing-ready definition.
• Create and maintain 3D models, drawings, BOMs and related design documentation.
• Make design choices balancing function, mass, manufacturability, assembly and cost.
• Consider mechanical and thermal constraints (launch loads, operating temps, heat transfer) and interfaces with subsystems.
• Support mechanical and thermal analyses to evaluate design choices and iterations.
• Contribute to prototype assembly, hardware integration and issue investigation.
• Prepare and participate in test campaigns (thermal-vacuum, vibration) and analyze results.
• Collaborate with suppliers and manufacturing partners to resolve design questions.
• Contribute to design reviews and continuous improvement of SpaceLocker products and engineering practices.
