Job summary

Four Seasons Megève is seeking a Sommelier to support the Assistant Head Sommelier during service, delivering high-end guest experiences in a luxury chalet setting. You will demonstrate excellent presentation, interpersonal skills and provide quality service to a discerning clientele.

The role requires prior wine service experience, fluent French and English, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team in a seasonal, 39-hour contract.

Qualifications

• First experience in a similar position would be appreciated.
• Must possess the legal right to work in France.
• Fluency in French and English.

About the role

The Sommelier’s role is to assist the Assistant Head Sommelier during service. The goal is to provide quality service to our customers in compliance with Four Seasons standards. The Sommelier must be qualified and experienced in service, demonstrate a very good team spirit, have excellent presentation and good interpersonal skills to meet the expectations of a high‑end clientele.

What you will do

• Provide customers with a pleasant, efficient, and professional service in accordance with Four Seasons standards.


• Monitor the smooth running of the services (wine service, customer satisfaction, responsiveness to special customer requests). Be able to work in symbiosis with his service colleagues.


• Know the menu and each menu according to the Chef’s suggestions.


• Organise the logistics of storage in the cellar, the management, and updating of cellar books and wine lists.


• The list of tasks specified above is not exhaustive, as your role will require constant adaptation to situations of high activity and specific customer relationship management.

• You must possess the legal right to work in France at the time of application and have fluency in French and English.
