Job summary

Weflayr SAS in Paris is building its first go-to-market hire to drive engagement with AI providers and customers. You will split time between technical discovery, demos, POCs and onboarding, ensuring early customers realize value from our gateway and benchmarking capabilities.

You will work closely with the CEO and CTO, owning ROI discussions, providing feedback to product teams, and shaping outbound GTM initiatives as the company scales.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience, including at least 2 in a customer-facing technical role such as solutions engineering, forward-deployed engineering, devrel or technical consulting.
• Fluent in English; French is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Run technical discovery, demos and POCs with prospects using their LLM traffic to show routing and benchmarking impact on costs and quality.
• Support onboarding of first customers from gateway integration to first benchmarks and routing rules in production.
• Translate onboarding into documentation, templates and product feedback to accelerate future customers' value.
• Support the CEO on the GTM motion from product-led growth to outbound campaigns.
• Be the voice of the customer in the tech team, delivering structured feedback and driving alignment with providers.

Job description

Weflayr is an AI gateway built to give its users the highest level of control and quality on dynamic model routing. It routes using each user’s own past data: each candidate model is benchmarked on it, and the routing engine uses the results to pick the best model for each call.

We raised a $2.5M pre-seed and are incubated in the F/AI program. We have opened the product to a small group of beta testers and plan to release it globally in the coming weeks.

About the role

You will be the first person on our go-to-market team, reporting to Romain (CEO). Our buyers are CTOs, AI engineering leads and CEOs. They want to talk to someone who understands and is passionate about AI. That’s you.

Your time will be split roughly 70/30 between customers and AI providers.

With customers (~70%)

• Run technical discovery, demos and POCs with prospects, using their own LLM traffic to show what routing and benchmarking change for their costs and quality
• Support the onboarding of our first customers, from the gateway integration, to their first benchmarks to their first routing rules in production
• Turn every onboarding into documentation, templates and product feedback, so the next customer doesn’t need you. Your success metric is time-to-value going down.
• Support the CEO on the GTM Motion from product-led growth to outbound campaign.
• Alongside the founders, you will be the voice of the customer in the tech team, bringing structured feedback to the team.

With AI providers (~30%)

You will run and own our day-to-day relationship with model and inference providers, and own everything that makes our supply layer fast, reliable and scalable.

• Be our daily insider at the AI labs and inference clouds: the go-to technical contact for their solutions engineers teams, and the first to hear about new models, endpoints and capacity changes
• Keep the gateway out of the red: track rate limits and quotas across every provider, anticipate saturation as our customers scale, and secure tier upgrades and extra capacity before anyone ever hits a limit.
• Support Romain to prepare provider negotiations with data: routed volumes, model mix, projections.
• Work with the tech team to integrate new providers into the gateway and keep our Model Catalogue up to date

Based in Paris: we truly believe that to achieve great things, we need to be together, to celebrate the good times, support each other through the harder ones, and above all because, at such an early stage, the most important decisions are made in informal discussions. We do offer some flexibility to suit everyone’s needs, e.g., working remotely one day a week, or a full week a couple of times a year.

What we are looking for

You are a good fit for this job if:

• You have 5+ years of experience, including at least 2 in a customer-facing technical role (solutions engineering, forward-deployed engineering, devrel, technical consulting)
• You are passionate about AI.
• You can sit with a CTO, understand their challenge, and tell them honestly whether we can help
• You think like a business owner: a POC is only a win if it turns into revenue. You spot expansion opportunities in every account, and you are as comfortable discussing ROI with a CFO as architecture with a CTO
• You write clearly: emails, docs and posts people want to read
• Numbers don’t scare you: token pricing, inference unit economics and margins are things you enjoy reasoning about
• You are fluent in English (our customers are in Europe and the US). French is a plus.
• AI is part of your daily workflow: you use coding agents and LLM tools to move faster, and you have opinions on what actually works
• You have strong soft skills (communication, adaptability, collaboration, …).
• Being pragmatic is your core value: what drives you is building things that work when needed, rather than something super advanced that may not be needed

• Romain Mazeries, co-founder & ceo: Former co-founder and CEO of MangoPay, a payment fintech company he built and scaled up to 120M€ in annual revenue.
• Noé Achache, co-founder & cto: Former Head of AI Engineering at Theodo Data & AI, where he led the development of various ML/DL projects and AI agents in production.

Compensation
