MRL Consulting Group | Global Niche Technology Recruitment in France is seeking a Senior Solutions Consultant – Payments (Card Present) to join a market-leading payments organisation. This hybrid, customer-facing role partners with Sales to design innovative payment acceptance and acquiring solutions for enterprise clients across France.

You’ll lead discovery workshops, deliver technical demonstrations, respond to RFPs, and translate business needs into commercially viable payment architectures.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Solutions Consultant, Pre-Sales Consultant, Solution Engineer or Technical Consultant in payments.
• Strong knowledge of card-present payment acceptance and processing.
• Track record in designing customised payment solutions for enterprise customers.
• Excellent presentation, workshop facilitation and stakeholder management.
• Strong commercial awareness with ability to balance technical excellence and business value.
• Fluent French with professional English.

Responsabilités

We're looking for a Senior Solutions Consultant / Pre-Sales Consultant to join a market-leading payments organisation supporting enterprise customers across France. This is a highly visible customer-facing role where you'll partner with Sales to design innovative payment acceptance and acquiring solutions that solve complex business challenges.

What You'll Be Doing

• Partner with Sales to qualify opportunities and develop winning solution strategies.
• Lead customer discovery workshops, technical presentations and product demonstrations.

We're Looking For Someone Who Has

• Proven experience as a Solutions Consultant, Pre-Sales Consultant, Solution Engineer or Technical Consultant within the payments industry.
• Strong knowledge of card-present payment acceptance and payment processing.
• A track record of designing customised payment solutions for enterprise customers.
• Excellent presentation, workshop facilitation and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong commercial awareness with the ability to balance technical excellence and business value.
• Fluent French with professional English.

Payments Expertise

You'll bring strong experience across one or more of the following areas:

Payment Acceptance

• POS terminals including Ingenico, Verifone and PAX
• Retail, Fuel, Parking, Vending and Unattended Payments
• Payment messaging standards including ISO 8583, ISO 20022, Nexo and CB2A

Payment Processing & Acquiring

• Merchant acquiring and transaction lifecycle
• Authorisation, clearing, settlement and reconciliation
• Scheme connectivity including Visa, Mastercard and Carte Bancaire
• Fraud prevention, payment security and regulatory compliance

Gateway & Platform Technologies

• Payment orchestration
• eCommerce and alternative payment methods
• Terminal driving and ATM processing

Additional experience in payment connectivity and networking would be highly valued, including:

• PCI DSS and P2PE
• Secure payment connectivity
• VPN, LAN/WAN and IP networking
• Wallets and digital commerce technologies
