Senior Solar Designer

As a Senior Solar Designer at BlueWave, you will play a key role in shaping the development of solar and energy storage projects ranging from 1 MW – 250 MW and supporting the Engineering team with high‑quality design and drafting. This role sits at the intersection of technical precision and creative problem‑solving, requiring collaboration with Development team, Grid Integration, Legal, and other teams to produce optimized system layouts that maximize efficiency and performance. You will contribute to project success by ensuring designs meet industry standards, supporting construction detailing, and integrating production optimization strategies. With a mix of independent work, teamwork, and on‑site engagement, this position offers a dynamic opportunity to influence the design of large‑scale renewable energy projects while driving innovation in the clean energy space.

Candidates based in Massachusetts are strongly preferred; however, we will also consider remote applicants located elsewhere in New England or New Jersey. This role may be performed remotely, with the expectation of travel to project sites and occasional visits (at least once per month) to our Boston office.

The anticipated salary range for this role is $115,000 – $130,000 per year + bonus. Compensation will be influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to internal pay equity, job‑related knowledge, skills, education, certifications, and relevant experience as outlined in the job description above.
