Main Missions

• Take part and drive object squad projects, contributing to all steps of the life cycle from design to implementation, testing, and production.
• Use native Node.JS libraries for storage services and Golang for Kubernetes operators.
• Collaborate with team members to unblock technical challenges.
• Design, develop, test, maintain, and improve software while ensuring an amazing user experience.
• Develop robust, secure, fault-tolerant high-performance distributed systems.
• Work with architects, POs, and leads to deliver the Scality roadmap.

Desired Skills & Experience

The ideal candidate would have the following knowledge and skills:

• French residents only
• BS or MS degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or equivalent
• Experience in developing and testing clear, robust code with performance in mind
• Experience in multiple languages: Node.js, Go (Golang), and TypeScript
• Experience in storage and distributed systems
• Strong skills in observability, debugging, and performance tuning
• Care for software quality across the full software development lifecycle
• Strong sense of ownership and responsibility

Technical Skills

• Orchestration: Kubernetes, Docker, containerd, Salt, Ansible
• System: Linux, networking, security (OWASP Top 10, public-key encryption, access credentials, certificates, TLS, data encryption, SSH)
• Backend: Node.js, Go, TypeScript
• Distributed Systems: Redis, Kafka, MongoDB, Zookeeper, high availability, scaling
• Testing: Design, test plans, mocking, bracketing, benchmarking, profiling
