Job summary

Avalore is seeking a Software Developer Lead to drive a high-visibility program in enterprise IT. You will guide a development team building integrated solutions across learning, training compliance, language tools, and retention workflows, with emphasis on scalable web applications and backend services.

The role requires strong Java development, cloud experience (AWS), and hands-on leadership in agile projects, including UX/UI improvements and API/database integrations, to deliver value for

Qualifications

• Active Security Clearance with polygraph.
• Experience leading a team delivering technical expertise to sponsors.

• Experience proposing recommendations delivering business value.
• Experience with UI/UX improvements, O&M reduction, and modernization of web-based components.

• Proven Java development experience.
• Experience with cloud technologies and AWS environments.
• Experience with ServiceNow and enterprise software lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Lead on a team providing technical expertise and communications to the Sponsor.
• Develop and maintain enterprise software, including licensing, patching and updates.
• Help design and implement web-based applications and APIs with databases.
• Apply industry best practices and accessibility standards within an Agile framework.
• Manage Tier 1-3 support using service management systems.
• Develop IT support documents, SOPs, workflows, and security diagrams.

Job description

Avalore is looking for a Software Developer Lead, a role with high visibility within the customer space. This individual will support a team building an integrated enterprise IT support model to drive efficiencies in the talent space and better address strategic requirements associated with learning, training compliances, foreign language development and retention, job advertisements, selection, and performance.

• Active Security Clearance with appropriate Polygraph
• Demonstrated experience as a lead on a team providing technical expertise and communications to the Sponsor.
• Demonstrated experience implementing industry best practices and associated technical solutions consistent with accessibility standards and agile methodology.
• Demonstrated experience proposing recommendations that provide business value while supporting goals and objectives, with an emphasis on improving User
• Experience/User Interface (UX/UI), reducing O&M, increasing quality and speed of delivery, transforming, and modernizing web-based application, system, and service components.
• Demonstrated experience in developing, maintaining, analyzing and documenting web-based application, system, and service components and associated interfaces, including those with databases and web services/APIs to assist in decision-making regarding future development.
• Demonstrated experience in Java development
• Demonstrated experience with cloud technologies.
• Demonstrated experience in developing and maintaining AWS environments and service components and associated interfaces, including those with databases and web services/APIs to assist in decision-making regarding future development
• Demonstrated experience working with COTS products including ServiceNow
• Demonstrated experience in the full accreditation lifecycle.
• Demonstrated experience in managing Tier 1, Tier 2, and Tier 3 support, using service management systems.
• Demonstrated experience developing IT support documents that include SOPs, digital IT workflows, IT knowledge base, pre and post deployment checklists, IT architectural diagrams, system security plans, and administrative processes.
• Demonstrated experience developing and maintaining enterprise software, to include license renewals (where applicable), patching, and version update administration.

Work Environment:
