Jobtailor in France seeks an experienced embedded software engineer focused on Golang to design, develop and maintain high-performance applications for industrial systems. You will work in an Agile Scrum environment, refining requirements with product and tech leads and ensure code quality, security, and reliability.

You'll bring 6+ years in embedded development, 2+ years in Golang, familiarity with Docker/Podman, and strong Linux fundamentals.

Qualifications

• At least 6 years of experience in embedded software development.
• At least 2 years of experience in Golang development.
• Proficiency in developing modular, testable, and maintainable code.
• Strong debugging, profiling, and performance optimization skills.
• Knowledge of industrial communication protocols and technologies such as Modbus/OPC UA.
• Experience with containerization: Docker/Podman.
• Excellent Linux environment and core system fundamentals.
• Familiar with design patterns and architectures.
• Experience with TDD, CI, and Agile practices.
• Good written and verbal English communication.

• Participate in analyzing functional and technical requirements
• Contribute to refinement workshops with the Product Owner and technical leads

Requirements

• At least 6 years of experience in embedded software development
• At least 2 years of experience in Golang development
• Proficiency in developing modular, testable, and maintainable code
• Strong experience in debugging, profiling, and performance optimization
• Good knowledge of industrial communication protocols and technologies: RSTP, Modbus, OPC UA, or other protocols
• Experience with containerization technologies: Docker, Podman, or similar
• Strong command of the Linux environment and core system fundamentals: process management, memory management, scheduling, and the Linux kernel
• Knowledge of major software design patterns and architectures
• Experience with Test-Driven Development (TDD), continuous integration, and Agile best practices
• Good written and verbal communication skills in English
• Knowledge of the IEC 61499 standard is a plus
