A leading open-source software provider is seeking an Entry Level Software Developer (Backend SaaS) to join a remote team. You will collaborate on development projects for Ubuntu, focusing on writing high-quality code and enhancing the Landscape management tool. Ideal candidates will possess a Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field, along with proficiency in Python and web frameworks. This position offers a distributed work environment with opportunities for travel and personal development budget.

Qualifications

• Proficient in Python and web frameworks like Flask and Django.
• Experience with developing public-facing APIs and web applications.
• Comfortable working in a distributed environment.
• Experience with databases and ORMs (PostgreSQL a plus).
• You are comfortable with Ubuntu as a server and deployment platform.

We are building the next generation management solution for Ubuntu on premise and on the public cloud to enable large estate observability, telemetry, security, compliance and operations.

Landscape is the leading management tool to deploy, monitor and manage fleets of Ubuntu systems, including package and repository management, health and security monitoring, hardware inventory, and automation. As a Landscape software engineer you will be responsible for contributing on a distributed development team participating in all facets of the development process.

Location: This role will be based remotely in the Americas region.
