Merck Healthcare in Calais is seeking a Site Production Manager to lead 75 colleagues across 3 Production Managers and ensure safe, compliant, and efficient chemical production. This hands-on role sits in a site transformation project to strengthen performance, modernize practices, and develop talent.

You will report to the Site Director, drive KPI-informed actions, champion digitalization, and ensure GMP and EHS standards are met while guiding organizational change and strategic initiatives

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or Engineering degree in Process Engineering or Production Engineering.
• Minimum 10 years of industrial experience in Production, Engineering, Quality or Operational Excellence.
• At least 5 years as a Production Manager in a regulated manufacturing environment.
• Proven ability to drive operational performance and lead transformations.
• Knowledge of GMP, EHS regulations and safety standards in chemical manufacturing.
• Fluent in French and English with strong communication skills.
• Interest in digital tools and Operational Excellence methodologies.

Responsabilités

• Oversee all production activities (chemical processes) and drive site performance.
• Lead a 75-employee organization including 3 Production Managers.
• Drive KPI analysis and implement action plans.
• Lead strategic projects from continuous improvement to CAPEX management.
• Champion change management and evolving organizational structures.
• Ensure GMP quality, EHS standards and regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate with Site Leadership Team to shape strategic direction.
