Job summary

Airswift is seeking a Site HSE Manager in France to lead health, safety and environmental performance across a major energy infrastructure project operating on a live brownfield site. You will act as the on-site HSE focal point, drive safety culture, manage contractor compliance and interface with stakeholders at all levels.

The role requires extensive HSE leadership, strong incident investigation skills and experience managing high-risk construction activities in an operational facility context.

Qualifications

• 10–15 years' HSE experience in major industrial or energy projects.
• Proven experience as Site HSE Manager or similar senior site role.
• Strong contractor management experience.
• Experience working on brownfield or operational facilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead site HSE plans, procedures and initiatives.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and contractor management System adherence.
• Review subcontractor HSE plans and performance.
• Conduct site inspections, audits and safety walks.
• Lead toolbox talks, safety meetings and awareness campaigns.
• Manage environmental and waste management programmes.
• Coordinate emergency preparedness activities and drills.
• Investigate incidents and root causes, implementing corrective actions.
• Produce regular HSE reports and performance metrics.
• Engage with client representatives, contractors and project leadership.
• Promote proactive safety culture and continuous improvement.
