Schneider Electric’s Control & Signaling division in Angoulême seeks a simulation expert to translate business requirements into reliable models and perform comprehensive simulations across shock, vibration, thermal, and multiphysics domains. You will align simulation work with development cycles and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

The role requires a PhD or Master’s in mechanical engineering, 5–8 years in numerical simulation, and expertise with ANSYS.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Ph.D. in mechanical engineering and modeling.
• 5–8 years of experience in numerical simulation (electromechanical, mechanical, multiphysics).
• Expert in recognized simulation tools such as ANSYS.

Responsabilités

• Translate business requirements into reliable models and analyze results to guide decisions.
• Conduct simulations: shock, vibration, sealing, rheology, thermal, endurance, dynamics/mechanics, multiphysics/mechatronics, optics.
• Analyze results and propose product/process optimizations based on them.
• Design digital experimental designs and explore critical system parameters.
• Collaborate with R&D, Project, Industrialization, and Marketing to integrate simulation into development cycles.
• Monitor developments in tools, methods, and trends in the field.
• Ensure correlation between simulations and physical tests and prepare reports.
