AVENTA is seeking an Installation Analysis Engineer to lead the numerical modelling and analysis workflow for shallow water and nearshore cable installation campaigns. The role combines hands-on OrcaFlex modelling with strong mechanical understanding to derive actionable installation parameters for use by engineers and vessel crews.

Based in Paris with UK offices, the team supports European offshore wind, HVDC interconnectors, and O&G subsea projects.

Qualifications

3–8 years of experience in offshore or subsea installation analysis.
Hands-on OrcaFlex modelling is required; not just post-processing.
Strong grasp of cable and offshore structural mechanics.
Experience producing analysis reports suitable for MWS review.

Responsabilités

Build, run, and interpret OrcaFlex models for shallow water cable lay operations.
Develop load-case matrices for installation campaigns.
Derive operational parameters (tensions, MBR, touchdown windows).
Conduct cable pull-in analysis for beach/HDD exits; assess wear and seabed interactions.
Perform abandonment and re-lay analyses under weather windows.
Carry out parametric studies to bound environmental uncertainties.
Produce installation analysis reports for client delivery and MWS review.
Prepare engineering calculation notes and support MWS submissions.
Maintain and version-control analysis models throughout the project lifecycle.
