AVIT Manufacturing seeks a Service Team Lead to oversee field service projects at customer sites and guide the Service Team to complete work on time and to specification. The role reports to the Manufacturing Manager and collaborates with project management to ensure alignment with customer needs.

Responsibilities include planning service projects, identifying risks with customers, generating BOMs, and supervising hands-on work such as millwrighting, welding, and assembly.

Qualifications

• Millwright Certificate of Qualification with field leadership experience.
• Strong leadership and team motivation skills.
• Excellent customer-facing communication and interpersonal skills.
• Self-starter able to troubleshoot in the field.
• Solid mechanical, machining, fabrication and assembly knowledge.
• Health and safety focused.

Responsabilités

• Lead field service projects and manage a team as needed, including weekend, evening, or holiday work depending on customer requirements.
• Plan and participate in the planning of all service projects; identify risks with customers before start.
• Generate bills of materials, tool lists and equipment needed to complete service projects.
• Ensure purchases are approved and adhere to budget requirements.
• Maintain open communication with customers and project management; provide updates and timelines.
• Drive service projects to meet customer timelines and budget constraints.
• Review safety training for each customer with HR to ensure compliance for all team members.
• Participate in millwrighting, fitting, welding, and assembly work in shop and on site as required.
• Support design reviews with AVIT engineering for service and installation projects.
• Maintain service tools, trucks, and equipment; provide day-to-day updates on work completed.

Service Lead

Position Overview

Reporting to the Manufacturing Manager, the Service Team Lead is responsible for executing all projects completed outside of the shop, at customer sites. The Service Team Lead provides oversight and guidance to the rest of the Service Team, while completing service projects on time and to customer requirements.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Responsible to work hands on in the field, while leading a team of people as necessary for each job – this can include weekend, evening, or holiday work depending on customer requirements.
• Lead and/or participate in the planning of all Service projects. Provide expertise on process and
• identify risk areas to address with the customer prior to project commencement.
• Generate bills of materials, tool lists and equipment needed to complete Service projects.
• Ensure purchases are approved by Manufacturing Manager or designate and continuously adhering to budgetary requirements.
• Maintain open communication with customers and work alongside AVIT project management to
• provide updates, concerns, and timelines. Drive service projects to ensure the customer timeline is met as well as budget requirements.
• Prior to commencement of each project, review necessary safety training specific to each customer and partner with HR Manager to ensure all Service team members are compliant.
• Solve problems in the field, in conjunction with the customer and AVIT Project Manager
• Participate in millwrighting, fitting, welding, and machine assembly work as required in the shop, including both Service and non-Service projects.
• Support the design review process with AVIT engineering for service and installation related projects.
• Responsible for the maintenance and organization of the Service tools, trucks, and equipment.
• Maintain consistent and open communication with appropriate AVIT Project Management by providing updates about work completed day to day for each project.

Qualifications

• Millwright Certificate of Qualification with experience leading a team working in the field.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a customer centric attitude.
• Self starter with the ability to troubleshoot problems in the field.
• Strong technical knowledge of mechanical, machining, fabrication, and assembly concepts and
• practices.
