Job summary

Deezer in Paris is offering a 6-month SEO & GEO internship. You will join the SEO & Analytics team to grow organic visibility across traditional search engines and AI-powered experiences, driving new user acquisition in key markets.

You will work with Product and Marketing on keyword research, on-page optimisation, and technical SEO checks, while building reporting to measure impact and support AI visibility initiatives.

Qualifications

• Currently studying towards a degree in Marketing, Digital, Communication or Data.
• A first exposure to SEO (personal project, internship, certification or coursework) and a real appetite to learn the fundamentals in depth: crawling, indexing, on-page optimisation, keyword research, ranking factors
• Genuine curiosity for generative AI and its impact on search: you already use ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini or AI Overviews and want to understand how brands earn visibility there
• Highly analytical and comfortable with Excel / Google Sheets; familiarity with SEO and analytics tools (Search Console, Looker, Semrush, Botify) is a plus
• Data-driven and acquisition-focused mindset: not only growing traffic, but bringing qualified users who sign up and convert
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally, from Marketers to Developers
• Self-motivated, proactive and autonomous, with an interest for music
• Fluent in English, knowledge of French, Portuguese or German is a plus

Responsibilities

• What we are looking for: Assist on keyword research and on-page optimisation for Deezer's templates and landing pages.
• Support technical SEO checks (crawlability, indexation, sitemaps, Core Web Vitals) with the Lead SEO.
• Build keyword and operational reporting to measure the impact of actions.
• Monitor AI visibility in key markets and contribute to GEO/LLM strategy planning.
• Collaborate with Product, Marketing and Developers across teams.

Job Description

What will you do?

As SEO & GEO Intern, you will work alongside our SEO & Analytics team to grow Deezer's organic visibility across both traditional search engines and AI-powered answer engines (ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews & AI Mode, Perplexity, Copilot, Gemini…), and to convert that visibility into new user acquisition in our key markets.

SEO fundamentals

• Work with Product and Marketing teams on keyword research and on-page optimisation across our page templates and landing pages, to drive SEO growth at scale and capitalise on key music moments (playlists, channels, features, dedicated landing pages…)

• Contribute to on-page optimisation work: titles, meta descriptions, headings, internal linking, content structure

• Participate in technical SEO checks (crawlability, indexation, sitemaps, Core Web Vitals, structured data) with the support of the Lead SEO

• Build keyword and operational reporting to measure the impact of our actions

GEO / LLM visibility (Generative Engine Optimization)

• Support on AI visibility monitoring: track how often and how accurately Deezer is mentioned, cited and recommended by LLMs and AI search experiences across key markets

• Help on maintaining our list of prompts to monitor AI visibility KPIs monitor (share of voice, mention rate, citation share…)

• Analyse which sources LLMs cite on our topics and turn that into an actionable off-site and content plan

• Contribute to making our content machine-readable and quotable

• Monitor the fast-moving GEO ecosystem and best practices and share learnings with the team

This is a 6-month internship, based in Paris and starting mid-February 2027.
