Speechify, the leader in text-to-speech tech, seeks a senior Windows desktop architect to shape the Windows platform of our native apps. You will own design, architecture, and development across Windows App SDK, WinUI, C#, and possibly C++.

You will drive best practices, mentor engineers, and ensure accessibility and high performance across releases, collaborating with product, UX, QA, and other teams in a distributed, globally remote environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in Windows desktop development with Windows App SDK/WinUI/XAML and, ideally, C++ native interop.
• Deep knowledge of Windows architecture including interop between managed (.NET) and native code.
• Proven track record shipping production desktop apps with focus on reliability, performance, scalability.
• Strong experience with accessibility APIs on Windows and inclusive software.
• Solid fundamentals: OOP, design patterns, data structures, algorithms, memory management, multi-threading.
• Experience leading technical design, mentoring engineers, and architectural decisions.

Responsabilités

• Lead design, architecture, and development of native Windows desktop applications using Windows App SDK, WinUI, C#, XAML, and possibly C++.
• Define and enforce best practices for Windows desktop development across the codebase.
• Drive accessibility efforts and ensure screen-reader support, keyboard navigation, and UI accessibility.
• Collaborate with product designers, UX researchers, QA, and stakeholders to plan features and long-term roadmap.
• Own full lifecycle of features from conception to release and maintenance.
• Identify and resolve complex bugs, performance bottlenecks, memory leaks, and rendering issues.
