Speechify is seeking a senior Windows desktop engineer to lead the design, architecture, and delivery of native Windows apps using Windows App SDK, WinUI, C#, and C++.

You will enforce best practices, push accessibility, and collaborate with product designers, QA, and engineers to shape the Windows platform roadmap. The role requires strong communication and a user-centric approach, delivering reliable, high-performance software.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in Windows desktop app development with Windows App SDK/WinUI and C#, XAML.
• Understanding interop between managed (.NET) and native code.
• Proven track record shipping production-quality desktop apps.
• Experience with accessibility APIs on Windows.
• Strong fundamentals: OOP, patterns, data structures, algorithms.
• Experience leading design, mentoring, code reviews.
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration.
• User-centric mindset delivering polished, accessible experiences.

Responsabilités

• Lead design, architecture, and development of Windows desktop applications.
• Define best-practices for Windows desktop development across the codebase.
• Drive accessibility efforts: validate accessibility APIs and usability.
• Collaborate with product designers, UX researchers, QA, and engineers to shape roadmap.
• Own full lifecycle of features from conception to release and maintenance.
• Identify and resolve complex bugs, performance bottlenecks, or memory issues.
