Jobtailor in Paris seeks a seasoned wind project engineer to validate siting areas, position turbines for energy maximization, and ensure compliance with design standards and regulatory constraints. You will lead data-driven wind modelling and coordinate on-site campaigns.

The role requires 5+ years in wind-related analysis, French project experience, and strong meteorological/data processing skills, with English proficiency at C1 level.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree or Master’s in a relevant field.
• 5+ years of experience in wind project analysis, with at least 3 years on projects in France.
• Experience analysing meteorological data from stations.
• Ability to adapt calculation methodologies to project stage and deadlines.
• Knowledge of international standards applicable to wind calculations.
• English at C1 level (working with external partners).

Responsabilités

• Validate potential siting areas for new wind projects in collaboration with Development and Mapping.
• Select and position turbines to maximize energy production and minimize CAPEX, ensuring compliance with design standards and environmental/regulatory constraints.
• Calculate the energy yield of wind projects.
• Oversee on-site measurement campaigns (met masts, LiDAR).
• Supervise installation, maintenance, decommissioning and storage of measurement equipment.
• Ensure data collection with maximum availability.
• Process measured on-site data and construct the wind model.
• Commission, supervise and validate acoustic studies and other relevant studies.
