Amazon's Consumer Goods team is seeking a talented Senior Vendor Manager within the Consumables category. In this role, you will work to create the world's greatest shopping experience for Beauty and other Consumables products, featuring a store with more products, brands, and compelling content than any other online or offline store, and help invent the future!

You will be the main point of contact with brands for the retail channel, engaging with both top management of large brands and small manufacturers.

Key job responsibilities
  1. Define the selection strategy, focusing on categories, brands, product types, and price ranges.
  2. Grow and manage the product selection through strong vendor relationships, assessing market conditions, recommending terms, and implementing procurement strategies.
  3. Act as a pivotal role in the e-commerce business, liaising with Marketing, In-stock Management, Logistics, and Legal teams.
  4. Manage business areas including promotional campaigns, in-stock support (closely working with the supply chain team), product management, and vendor performance communication.
  5. Develop and execute collaborative marketing and promotional campaigns with the content management team across various products and categories.
  6. Establish procurement support strategies with supply chain teams and drive continuous process improvements, such as vendor lead time reduction.
  7. Manage item and vendor setup in various tools.
  8. Attend trade shows and vendor meetings as required.
  9. Monitor industry and competitive trends to enhance the Amazon offering for customers.
  10. Oversee vendors and internal processes in daily operations.
  11. Qualifications include a university degree, ideally in a technical or analytical discipline, along with relevant experience in online retail, e-commerce, or consulting.
  12. Proven ability to influence others, with outstanding analytical, planning, and forecasting skills.
  13. Be a passionate self-starter, decisive, and capable of moving quickly to implement ideas.
  14. Demonstrate problem-solving skills with creative and innovative ideas.
  15. Experience with databases and SQL is preferred.
  16. Be flexible, multitask effectively in a demanding environment, and possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
