The Exploration Company is seeking a Vacuum Hotfire Test Stand Senior Engineer to lead the end-to-end development of a propulsion test facility for legacy propellants, from requirements through commissioning and operation. You will manage a small multidisciplinary team and coordinate with internal engineers and external partners to deliver a robust, compliant, and high-performance test capability.

Qualifications

• Degree in aerospace, propulsion, mechanical, or chemical engineering.
• 5+ years hands-on experience with propulsion test benches.
• Strong background in fluid systems and pressurized systems.
• Experience delivering complex facilities from concept to commissioning.
• Knowledge of safety-critical systems and industrial automation.
• Experience with site qualification, permitting, or regulated environments.
• Excellent communication across technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience in vacuum test facility design and operation.
• Team management experience is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Design vacuum hot-fire test facility for orbital thrusters.
• Define system requirements and performance envelopes for the bench.
• Define instrumentation, data acquisition, and control for safe testing.
• Manage suppliers, integration, and commissioning activities.
• Lead operations of the test facility including hot-fire, cold flows, and maintenance.
• Lead a small multidisciplinary team to design, procure, and install the test bench.
