Sompo is seeking a Senior Underwriter Engineering & Construction – France to lead the development of our Construction line of business from Paris. You will build a profitable portfolio across infrastructure, renewable energy, manufacturing and large construction projects, working with underwriting, risk engineering and distribution teams.
You will bring 10+ years of underwriting experience in Engineering insurance, deep risk expertise, and a strong France broker network, while traveling
Qualifications
- 10+ years of underwriting experience in Engineering insurance.
- Deep expertise in large and complex Engineering risks.
- Strong network within the France broker and risk manager community.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
Responsabilités
- Develop and execute the French Engineering market strategy (CAR/EAR).
- Analyse technical risk information and determine coverage, terms and pricing.
- Negotiate insurance conditions with brokers and clients.
- Ensure disciplined underwriting and portfolio management per guidelines.
- Collaborate with Claims, Risk Engineering, Distribution and other partners to deliver a seamless client experience.
