Job summary

Allegro MicroSystems in Grenoble seeks a TMR Transducer Design Engineer to design and develop TMR transducers for magnetic sensor products. You will work with design, system, and layout engineers to apply advanced physical concepts in an industrial semiconductor setting.

The role suits a motivated engineer with PhD or Master’s with relevant experience, offering collaboration across R&D teams and opportunities to innovate in transducer technology.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Physics, Magnetism, Electrical Engineering or related field; new graduates welcome; or Master’s degree with 2 years related experience.
• Strong background in magnetism, spin electronics, and magnetic thin film properties.
• Proficiency in data analysis, design of experiments, and statistical tools; MATLAB and Python are highly desired.

Responsibilities

• Design and development: design of TMR transducer and their physical layout.
• Derive basic specifications from high-level requirements and datasheet parameters.
• Simulation & performance analysis: run simulations (MATLAB, Python) and analyse data to relate transducer interactions with silicon.
• Apply theoretical knowledge of magnetism to solve design challenges.
• Process Compliance: follow procedures to ensure product performance, yield, and cost-effectiveness.
• Technology Integration: support integration of TMR tech from R&D into transducer designs.
