BuyIn is seeking a Senior Vice President Strategic Procurement for Devices & Platforms to lead a high-impact IT procurement function. You will drive strategic sourcing, supplier management, and global category strategies across Orange and Deutsche Telekom ecosystems, with a focus on devices, platforms, AI, and cybersecurity.

The role offers hybrid work with international exposure and opportunities to influence technology and marketing agendas within a 30+ nationalities team.

Qualifications

• University degree or MBA in Procurement, Computer Science, Mathematics, Natural Science, Business Economics, Engineering IT, or equivalent.
• Fluency in English and French; German a plus.
• Willingness to travel and operate in a multi-cultural environment.

Description of domain/function:

With the acceleration in digitalization, in the usage of Cloud and SaaS solutions, BuyIn’s Information Technology (IT) department is becoming more and more key for our mother companies. This department is bundling the global responsibility for strategic sourcing for both groups’ IT demands, and this also includes the IT demands coming from the B2B customer solutions offered by Orange Business and T-Systems

Your responsibilities

As a Senior Strategic Sourcer (m/f) within Smart Enterprise Solutions team in the Center of Excellence of IT domain, YOU:

• will lead / support procurement projects at group and local level.

• Manage the relationship with suppliers

• Drive the implementation of the global category strategy and execute project strategies.

• Are responsible for the achievement of targets and provide support for alliance members during contract duration.

This includes the following tasks:

• Strategic Sourcing: Developing and implementing procurement strategies that align with the company’s goals, focusing on ERP, Cyber Security and Artificial Intelligence solutions.
• Supplier Management: Evaluating and selecting suppliers based on criteria such as price, quality, sustainability, and delivery capacities. Building and maintaining strong relationships with key vendors. Consulting stakeholders on best practices.
• Contract / Negotiation Management: Negotiating terms and conditions with suppliers to secure the best possible pricing and service levels (execute cost optimization levers).
• Cost Analysis: Performing cost analyses to ensure procurement activities are cost-effective without compromising on quality. Analyse, bundle and negotiate demands in the corresponding sub-categories, both software and services.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Working closely with other departments, such as IT, finance, and operations, to forecast needs and assess market trends.
• Lead RFIs, RFPs, and RFQs and support project implementation.

Your profile

You hold a university degree or an MBA in Procurement, Computer Science, Mathematics, Natural Science, Business Economics, Engineering degree in IT or Telecommunications, or a qualification of the same level.

You also possess the following skills and experience:

• Knowledge and interest of telecommunication and information technologies
• Excellent communication skills
• Strong synthetic and analytical skills to select and highlight key facts
• Customer Orientation
• Capacity to work in a multi-cultural and fast-changing environment
• Fluency in English and French (German is a plus)
• Willingness to travel
