Job summary

Gama is seeking an Hardware Test Engineer to design, run and optimize test campaigns for ultra-light deployable solar arrays, power electronics and batteries. You will build test benches, write procedures and ensure data drives design decisions, collaborating with mechanical, electrical and manufacturing teams.

You will develop automation in Python and LabVIEW, calibrate equipment, and maintain safety and documentation standards as the company scales production in Ivry-sur-Seine, France.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree or Master’s in electrical, mechanical or physics engineering.
• 3+ years hands-on experience in a hardware test lab, in space/aerospace/energy or similar field.
• Experience running environmental or electrical test campaigns, from plan to final report.
• Solid skills in instrumentation and measurement: sensors, data acquisition, power supplies and loads.
• Programming skills for test automation and data analysis.
• Rigorous, safety-minded approach with strong documentation and traceability.
• Proactive attitude with ownership of test campaigns and collaboration across teams.
• Professional level English; French is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate and maintain lab test equipment (TVAC, vibration, solar simulators, data systems).
• Define end-of-line and acceptance testing for high-volume production.
• Design and build test benches for cells, arrays, power electronics and batteries.
• Write test plans, procedures and reports for development, qualification and acceptance campaigns.
• Develop and maintain test automation and data analysis software (Python, LabVIEW).
• Own equipment calibration and preventive maintenance; enforce lab safety rules.
• Collaborate with suppliers and external test facilities for equipment.
• Support anomaly investigations and feed results back into design and manufacturing.
