SpaceLocker is seeking a seasoned Senior Systems Engineer – Communications to shape mission-critical telecom systems for hosted payload missions. You will lead system-level trade-offs, define RF and data-handling requirements, and coordinate interfaces across payload, platform and engineering teams.

The role is based in Paris or Toulouse, France, with full-time, hybrid work, 5 weeks paid vacation, and a compensation package of 50–60k€ before tax plus a 10% performance bonus.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree with significant experience in systems engineering.
• Strong background in satellite communications, telecommunications or RF systems.
• Experience working on complex multidisciplinary engineering projects.
• Familiarity with systems engineering methodologies, requirements management and verification.
• Experience interacting with institutional or commercial customers is appreciated.

Responsabilités

• Lead system-level trade-offs involving communications architectures and mission performance.
• Define and consolidate system requirements related to RF links, data handling and end-to-end communications.
• Coordinate technical interfaces between payload providers, platform partners and internal engineering teams.
• Support mission architecture activities from proposal through flight operations.
• Contribute to technical reviews, verification activities and customer interactions.
• Mentor junior systems engineers and help strengthen engineering practices across the team.
• Support future developments of SpaceLocker’s hosted payload infrastructure.
