Arm Limited is seeking a software test engineer for the Infrastructure Solutions Software team. This hands-on role focuses on system-level validation and quality across pre-silicon and silicon environments, developing test automation and contributing to CI and test infrastructure.

You will collaborate with software, firmware and hardware teams to investigate defects and support product readiness, using Python and C/C++, Linux, and debugging tools.

We are looking for a software test engineer in the Infrastructure Solutions Software team. This is a hands‑on technical role focused on system-level validation and quality for our infrastructure platforms. You will develop test automation, investigate complex system issues and contribute to high‑quality delivery across pre‑silicon and silicon environments.

Responsibilities:

You will:

• Develop and implement system-level validation across pre-silicon and silicon environments.
• Develop test automation and infrastructure using appropriate tools, frameworks and programming languages.
• Contribute to CI, regression and test infrastructure design and improvements.
• Investigate and debug complex software, firmware and system-level issues.
• Collaborate across software, firmware and hardware teams to resolve defects and support product readiness.

Required Skills and Experience :

• Strong experience in software testing and system-level validation for SoC, firmware, platform software or embedded systems.
• Proficiency in Python and experience with C and/or C++.
• Experience with Linux, system software, firmware or device drivers.
• Strong debugging and problem‑solving skills, including experience with software debugging tools.
• Experience with CI, regression testing, test coverage and defect management.

“Nice To Have” Skills and Experience :

• Proficient working with Git.
• Curious about open-source development practices.
• Knowledgeable in computer architecture and microarchitecture concepts - ideally for the Arm architecture and its ecosystem.
• Familiarity with the Linux kernel, Trusted Firmware-A (TF-A), UEFI EDK II, OpenBMC or Kernel-based Virtual Machine (KVM).
