Job summary

TETMET in Paris La Défense, France, is seeking an Experienced Full-Stack Software Engineer to architect, build, and maintain the core software stacks, including the Lattice Design Suite, robotics controls, and the ASLM process software.

You will collaborate with roboticists, mechatronic engineers, and researchers to translate complex physical constraints into robust software, optimize algorithms, and lead frontend/backend development in a fast-paced deeptech environment.

Qualifications

• Advanced Python (async frameworks, data processing, backend API design).

Job Description: Senior / Experienced Full-Stack Software Engineer

Company Overview

TETMET is a Deeptech startup based in Paris (La Défense) specializing in the industrialization of Adaptive Spatial Lattice Manufacturing (ASLM) . ASLM is a patented, additive manufacturing technology that assembles metal rods into ultra-lightweight, high-strength 3D lattice structures using robotic laser welding and cutting. With customers in automotive, aerospace, space, and defense, TETMET developed his own custom tools from the lattice design software to the ASLM build platform.

Role Summary

We are looking for an Experienced Full-Stack Software Engineer to join our Software team in Paris. In this role, you will play a central role in architecting, building, and maintaining TETMET's core software stacks. You will be able to drive the development of our design software (Lattice Design Suite), work on robotics controls and the ASLM process itself.

You will work directly within our software team, collaborating closely with non-software engineers—including roboticists, mechatronic engineers, materials scientists, and process specialists—to translate complex physical and geometric requirements into robust software solutions. A particular focus will be placed on optimising our algorithms implementation to improve the efficiency of our different process streams.

Key Responsibilities

1. Core Architecture & Codebase Maintenance

• Orient System Architecture: Lead and guide architectural choices for our core software engine, server APIs, and data infrastructure.
• Maintain & Scale Codebase: Maintain high code quality, establish modular coding practices, refactor legacy scripts, and optimize system performance.
• Deployment & Infrastructure: Manage project containerization, CI/CD pipelines, version control, and data redundancy.

2. New Design Software Development (Lattice Design Suite - LDS)

• LDS & Web App: Transition our CAD generation tools from initial CAD plugins to a standalone, multi-platform design suite featuring an intuitive web-based HTML/JS front-end and a high-performance backend.
• Geometry & CAD Tooling: Implement data management, geometric transformation algorithms, topology optimization features, and CAD application integrations (e.g., Fusion 360, OpenCascade/custom geometry backends).

3. Robotics & ASLM Process Software Integration

• Robotic Control Interfacing: Develop software interfaces connecting high-level build specifications with lower-level robotic motion controllers and laser welding/cutting routines.
• Machine Vision & Telemetry: Work with computer vision feeds, camera calibration data, and ML pipeline outputs (e.g., rod segmentation and weld quality inspection) to streamline real-time process monitoring.

4. Database & Data Infrastructure

• SQL Database Design: Architect and manage simple SQL databases to store structure geometries, build files, process data, material parameters, and hardware calibration logs.
• Data Flow Management: Ensure seamless data synchronization between front-end interfaces, server engines, and physical robot cell controllers.

5. Interdisciplinary Leadership & Collaboration

• Guide Non-Software Engineers: Act as a technical mentor and bridge for mechatronics engineers, R&D process specialists, and researchers, helping them structure scripts, define APIs, and adopt software best practices.
• Problem Solving: Hands‑on attitude—eager to jump into cell operations, troubleshoot end‑to‑end technical bottlenecks, and turn complex physical constraints into clean software logic.

Candidate Profile & Requirements

Required Qualifications

• Programming Proficiency: Advanced level in Python (async frameworks, data processing, backend API design).
• Front-End Development: Hands‑on experience building modern, responsive front‑end interfaces (HTML5, JavaScript/TypeScript, modern web frameworks).
• Database Expertise: Proven experience with SQL (schema design, query optimization, database management).
• Full-Stack Experience: Demonstrated ability to build, deploy, and maintain end‑to‑end full‑stack applications.
• Architectural Mindset: Strong understanding of software design patterns, microservices or modular monolith architectures, and codebase maintainability.
• Communication & Teamwork: Ability to work effectively with and explain technical software concepts to non‑software engineering disciplines (mechanics, optics, robotics, science).
• Hands-On & Resilient: Proactive problem solver who thrives in a fast‑paced deeptech environment and is not afraid to tackle complex, multidisciplinary challenges.
• Language: Fluent in English (company's operational language). French proficiency is a plus.

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Experience with 3D geometry libraries, computational design, or CAD software APIs (e.g., Rhinoceros/Grasshopper, OpenCascade, Fusion 360).
• Exposure to robotics, ROS, industrial automation, or machine vision pipelines.
• Knowledge of systems programming (C++ or Rust) for performance‑critical engines.
