SBS is seeking two Professional Services Special Ops to lead techno-functional engagements in Digital Banking. You will structure unclear requirements, shape solution architecture, validate assumptions, and guide teams from concept to delivery, including rapid prototyping with AI tools.

Responsibilities include defining integration designs, leading early-stage engagements, and aligning stakeholders across Product, Engineering, and Delivery to accelerate value for financial institutions.

Qualifications

Position Overview

We are seeking our new PS Special Ops to join the SBS team!

The Digital Engagement Global Business Unit at SBS develops, commercializes, and operates the Digital Banking Suite (DBS)—a platform helping financial institutions deliver modern mobile and web experiences across Digital Banking, Open Banking, AI & CRM, and Digital Lending. We are hiring two Professional Services Special Ops resources to support strategic, complex client initiatives. This senior, hands‑on techno‑functional role turns uncertainty into a clear solution direction and an executable delivery plan. In early‑stage or high‑risk engagements, you will structure unclear requirements, shape solution architecture, validate assumptions (including rapid prototyping when needed), and guide teams from concept to implementation. In challenged projects, you will diagnose issues quickly, de‑risk delivery, and reset the path forward. The role blends solution architecture, banking domain expertise, functional consulting, and hands‑on delivery, using AI daily to accelerate analysis, design, prototyping, and documentation.

Responsibilities

Special Projects and Early‑Stage Engagements

• Lead/assist the Business Unit’s highest‑priority special initiatives and early‑stage client engagements.
• Turn ambiguous briefs into a clear scope, decision list, solution approach, and executable delivery plan; support pilots/POCs where rapid evidence is required.

Solution Architecture and Integration Design

• Define solution architecture aligned to client needs, platform capabilities, and delivery constraints.
• Design and validate integrations across core banking platforms, APIs, third‑party systems, and AI‑enabled components.
• Bake in security, scalability, performance, and maintainability from the start; select tools/patterns pragmatically for the context.

Techno‑Functional Delivery and Troubleshooting

• Blend architecture, functional expertise, and hands‑on problem solving to unblock delivery and move work forward.
• Support configuration/customization/integration across products as needed; troubleshoot complex technical and functional issues.
• Contribute directly to prototypes, integration code, or technical validations when required.

Client and Internal Stakeholder Leadership

• Serve as a trusted advisor in discovery and solution framing; communicate technical/functional/AI concepts clearly to business and technical stakeholders.
• Align Product, Engineering, Delivery, and client teams on solution direction, priorities, and execution trade‑offs.
• Challenge assumptions constructively and steer to the simplest path that solves the real problem.

Delivery De‑Risking and Acceleration

• Identify risks early (dependencies, design gaps, delivery constraints) and propose mitigations.
• Step into critical situations to unblock teams, reframe the approach, and restore momentum.
• Reduce uncertainty via rapid validation/prototyping and transition early‑stage work into a scalable delivery model.

Knowledge Capture and Reuse

• Capture key decisions, patterns, runbooks, and lessons learned; contribute to reusable delivery assets and reference architectures.
• Stay current on digital banking/fintech/AI trends and help embed AI responsibly into client solutions.

Qualifications

Experience and Background

• Significant experience in banking/fintech (digital banking, payments, lending, CRM, or adjacent domains).
• Background in solution architecture, software engineering, or techno‑functional consulting/delivery.
• Proven delivery in complex, client‑facing engagements and integrations (APIs, distributed systems, integration patterns).
• Hands‑on ability to prototype/validate approaches; practical fluency using AI tools to accelerate delivery work.

Skills and Capabilities

• Structured problem solving; comfortable operating in ambiguity and high‑stakes situations.
• Solution design across APIs, microservices, cloud platforms, and modern integration patterns.
