Datadog is seeking a senior polyglot engineer to contribute across our security libraries, with a focus on .NET or Java. You will design and build security integrations and detections, taking them from prototype to production, and own them operationally as they instrument thousands of applications.

As a senior engineer within a product team, you connect the libraries you build to customer adoption and security value, helping decide what to build and guiding RFCs for alignment across teams.

Qualifications

• Expertise in at least one of .NET (C#) or Java, with ability to contribute across other libraries.
• Strong software-engineering fundamentals; modular, maintainable coding with minimal guidance.
• Product-engineering mindset; care about user experience and customer outcomes.
• Experience shipping libraries or SDKs; understands packaging, versioning, and backward compatibility.
• Focus on performance and cost; measures and optimizes accordingly.
• Operationally mature; takes accountability for production.
• Clear written and verbal communication; RFC-driven alignment.
• BS/MS/PhD in a STEM field or equivalent experience.

Responsabilités

• Design, build, and own security integrations and detections across multiple libraries with .NET and/or Java as primary focus.
• Take projects from prototype to production, ensuring safe instrumentation of thousands of applications.
• Own production telemetry, debug cross-system issues, and drive customer-facing reliability.
• Help shape roadmaps, define OKRs, and drive RFCs for alignment across teams.
• Collaborate with product management, backend, and frontend to translate ideas into capabilities.
• Mentor teammates, raise code quality, and improve team effectiveness.
• Represent Datadog in relevant language and security communities.
