Job summary

amo in Paris is seeking a senior search engineer to build and scale production search across multiple entity types, delivering robust and fast results.

You will work on geospatial search, indexing, query planning, retrieval, and ranking, collaborating closely with backend and product teams to ship improvements.

The role emphasizes latency, relevance, and quality metrics, with opportunities to explore semantic search and embeddings in production.

Qualifications

• Experience with geospatial search.
• Experience with search quality metrics, experimentation, and feedback loops.
• Experience evaluating, tuning, extending, or building search/indexing systems beyond basic API usage.
• Strong backend engineering fundamentals.
• Ability to reason about latency, relevance, correctness, and scale.
